First, let me preface this review in saying that I'm not pregnant. Now that that's out of the way, I love this pillow, which I have lovingly named Phillow. I purchased this contoured body pillow because my SI joint popped out of place. At the time this happened (September 2013), I had no issues sleeping. As my injury recovered, my hips and lower back hurt more and more. At the beginning of the year, I went to the doctor, he told me the SI problems have caused my hip muscles to weaken and so on and so forth, so I started physical therapy. My physical therapist told me to sleep with pillows between my legs, but being that I toss and turn when I sleep, it was quite inconvenient. Half my pillows ended up on the floor by morning, and my hips and lower back were aching something fierce by morning. I decided to look for a standard body pillow on Amazon, and this popped up in my search and I was smitten. Its like the Mercedes Benz of body pillows, are you kidding?!? Had to have it! I added it to my wish list, and when I noticed it fluctuate in price dramatically (like a $30 decrease), GET IN MY CART!! I was worried about the seam, but I've had little to no issue with it. I also sleep with two older and flatter pillows around the top part, so perhaps that's why? I only noticed the seam when I try to sleep with one arm under it. This however quickly cuts off my circulation in my arm (way faster than when you do this with a normal pillow), so I rarely sleep this way anymore. Anyway, between working hard in PT to strengthen my hips, and I personally believe, using this pillow, I wake up with little to no hip pain anymore. However, like I said, I work really hard in PT as well as keeping up my routine throughout the week on my own. So if you are buying this for hip pain while sleeping, yes, I think this will help you. However, you should also try to increase strength in your hips and lower back to fully maximize its benefits overall. Not sure if I'll ever go back to regular pillows though. Its quite comfy to sleep in, ridiculously comfortable actually. Its like my little sleeping nest. Taking the cover on/off for washing is a pain in the A, so I'm planning on buying a set of King pillowcases in my bedding colors and sewing the ends together so I can just put that on there. Easy on/off for washing. Took me almost 10 minutes to put the original case back on, not kidding, I timed it. I have a queen bed and Phillow is right in the middle, with not a lot of space left on either side. I'm not sure how I feel about sharing my bed with anyone now that Phillow is in the picture, but luckily(?) I'm single, so we'll cross that bridge when it comes. The box it came in is quite large, but its to be expected, it isn't sent vacuum packed or anything. If you are thinking about buying this, I would recommend adding it to your wishlist and watching the price. Almost everyday the price changed on this thing, I think I had it on my list for almost 2 weeks. When it was the lowest I've seen, I bought it. Worth it.
