For the last 20 years I have had to replace our mattress about every as my wife (Goldilocks) claimed "this bed is too soft" and "this one is too hard". Well Goldilocks met her match with this mattress. It truly is a medium firmness mattress, neither too hard or too soft. Now if I can just get these damned bears to go home... Be warned that the box is seriously heavy (70-80 pounds) and there are NO handles, so moving it is a real treat. Worth the price of admission when you break the vacuum seal and the mattress expands like a Navy life raft. Hands down the best mattress we have ever had at a very reasonable price.
