This cutting tool is great for boxes. Like many others, I wanted a faster and easier way to break down Amazon Prime cardboard boxes. This does the job wonderfully. It’s really best to think of this device as electric scissors. If you look closely at the cutting mechanism, you can see that it’s shearing two blades, each sharpened on only one side, against one another — more like scissors than a circular saw. The advantage is that scissors are self sharpening, don’t tend to produce a lot of dust, and the blade doesn’t need to be spinning at a high RPM — quieter and in some ways safer. Pros: - Easy to use - Two-sided trigger is convenient and safe - Small opening prevents accidents - Fairly quiet - LiPo battery doesn’t discharge while unplugged between uses - Won’t dull quickly due to self-sharpening effect of scissor mechanism. Cons: - The opening to guide cardboard toward the blade sometimes gets caught - It could be a little quieter, faster, and stronger - The handle is a little unnecessarily thick - The charging port is tiny Overall, I’d recommend it!
