This thing works! Keeps the fly population near my small chicken coop down, traps and kills hundreds of flies cheaply and poison free. I definitely agree with other reviewers that the slurry of decaying and dying flies when this thing fills up is completely repulsive. There's no way in hell I'm gonna be handling that long enough to empty it out somewhere and rinse out and reuse the plastic jar. LUCKILY!!!! Glass pasta jars fit the lid well enough to use interchangeably! This makes this trap INCREDIBLY easy to empty and replace. AND I can put the pasta jar lid on the full fly trap jar, then throw out the whole full jar with the lid on it. Hooray.
