I've been using this AmazonBasics 4.0 Amp Car Charger for about 1 week and I like it, 5-stars like it all considered. These days it seems 1-amp charging is not enough - alot of devices these days require 2 amps just to keep the thing running if you are using it while it is charging (2amps, 2 slots hence the 4 amp description). I even have an HP Chromebook that needs 3 amps. Most of my old chargers (wall and car) have been the older 1 amp chargers and I'm gradually upgrading to 2 amp+. I've owned alot of car chargers and for $10 I think this Amazon is an amazing deal. The brand "Amazon Basics" is starting to remind me of the Costco Kirkland brand - good solid value that you can trust. At $10 this Amazon Basics charger has a higher build quality than other comparable chargers I own in the same price range and this is the first charger in this price range that has had dual 2amp output (I've had a few others than were 2amp in one USB and 1 amp in the other). Actual usage-wise this Amazon charger has performed great for me thus far - fast charging in my car as I would expect a 2 amp to be. The only knock I can give this charger thus far is it is on the bulkier side and protrudes farther out than most car chargers I have these days...but I've also noticed a trend where higher amp chargers can't be as small for heat dissipation reasons so this may be the reason (ie, my first HP Chromebook 3 amp charger was recalled as a fire hazard and the replacement version was larger). Overall, at $10 for double slots powered at 2 amps with good build quality - a great bargain and 5-stars in my book in consideration of price/value. Charge away my friend.
