These HotSnapZ have worked for me exactly as stated in the product descriptions. I've had no problems recharging them and found that you can also use a separate container or pot & add boiling water to it - thereby avoiding concern about letting them rest on the bottom of a boiling pan where they would melt. I've no difficulty activating the snapper, and neither has my wife. The heat actually starts quite hot and tapers off, which is perfect when I use them because if my hands are cold then I want a burst of HEAT to warm them up (I then use Hothands in my pockets if I need to keep some warmth going for a long time). I've gotten an average of 30-40 minutes of good heat from these (which is about what I expected after reading the reviews). The only thing I wasn't quite ready for was the size. The photos don't show them relative to anything else, so it's hard determine. The red ones are about the size of a hamburger patty (before cooking). The green ones are about the size of a large tamale (or a very small burrito). That's fine for holding in your hands or putting into pockets, but not for putting them into gloves (thus the Hothands). I definitely recommend these, but wanted to give a bit of data to judge against in terms of size. And now I'm going to go have a snack...
