The Dyson multifloor 2 is the newest multifloor vacuum to date (Amazon just started selling them in early 2017). I also have a Refurbished Dyson multifloor UP13, which I didn't realize that I was getting an UP13 model until it came because the Amazon title just said "Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright" (See pictures for comparison in sizes). Both are about the same height. The newer one is thinner and about 3 pounds lighter, at approximately 15 pounds. The suction power of both units is wonderful and I really do not think another vacuum out there could do better. Although, I have not tried them all. I had a Hoover Windtunnel before these and it lasted for 17 years but I didn't realize how much it was missing until I bought a Dyson vacuum. The newer Dyson does seem to have slightly better suction. I have a picture attached of what was pulled up after running the older Dyson first and then running the newer vacuum throughout the entire house. We have a very large house though and some of what you see could actually be carpet fiber. The refurbished Dyson seemed to be a little awkward when pushing and made a squealing noise when I pulled backwards. It may just be because it was refurbished. It also is a little hard to get the hose back in place after pulling it out, it didn't click in place as neatly as the new one but once I got the hang of it I could get it back in every time. To be fair, the Refurbished Dyson does suck very well though and if you're looking to save money and a strong vacuum is what you're most interested in then I think that a refurbished one would be fine. And you're really not out anything to try it because Amazon is so good about taking back returns if you have any trouble. However, if you want a vacuum that is a little lighter and easier to maneuver then you may want to splurge on the new model. If this review is helpful please click the button below. Thank you. 💟
