Great little machine. There is definitely a learning curve. You can buy it for less at AliExpress but long delivery times. Update after a month: This is a fabulous machine. Of course there were startup issues. The assembly instructions weren’t great but other customers have created excellent videos. Getting the cables right is the key. The software is just ok(LaserGRBL), I bought LightBurn for $40, excellent software. Be patient the software for a newbie is complicated. Use YouTube for tutorials become a member of the Ortur user group on FaceBook, be patient. I love this little machine. I only do engraving on wood but the possibilities are endless. Cutting wood is tricky for a blue diode laser I don’t plan to do any cutting it requires thin wood and multiple passes. But you can cutout paper & cardboard. The laser glasses that come with it are cheap. I need laser glasses that fit over my prescription glasses. Amazon to the rescue. I also bought a G8 lens to replace the stock lens, engraving perfection. UPDATE after 6 months Still going strong, this is a great little machine for engraving on wood and other materials. Some really nice results on coasters, cutting boards and creating a logo. I’ve not had any issues with the machine. Learning and setting up the software is the biggest learning curve. The G8 lens has really been great for engraving, it allows much more detail but it does require focusing the lens to the correct focal point. I added a Z axis adjuster because the optimal focus height is 35mm and being able to adjust the Z axis up and down eliminates having to raise or lower the work piece. I changed my rating from4 stars to 5. This is a great little Machine.
