New packaging but same quality. I have also used Suavecito "Firme" hold and the Super Hold Layrite is on par as far as hold. It's not as shiny as Suavecito (good for me) and the scent is waaay more pleasant. This stuff smells like Vanilla and my Wife LOVES it. It's not overpowering like Suavecito's which is why I choose this Layrite. Note: I have THICK, wavy hair that's beyond difficult to control. Here's a tip for you guys with hard to hold hair. Blow dry, blow dry, blow dry. After a shower, I put some Layrite grooming spray for some extra hold (optional), then blow dry. Pull your hair to stand up (with your fingers) while you dry to make sure it's being dried properly. Once it's good, put some Layrite and style as needed. For my hair I use a brush which I find does a better job of keeping hair in line as opposed to a comb. Secret to maintain that hold...blow dry.
