Taking care of your nails is just good hygiene. The problem is I don't have the money to pay to have either done for me on a consistent basis. I am by no means a professional nail person. I know how to use a pair of clippers. That's about it. I wanted my nails to look nicer, particularly, one nail on my toe. I've always had cute feet until I went to the spa and had a pedicure. The next month, my toenail started getting all white and got what they call "runner's nail". I don't "run" either. So, I ordered this nice little nail drill so that I could try to file that one particular nail down. Coincidently, I tripped over a stool in my living room that my seven year old had deposited while I wasn't looking and ripped the whole toe nail off! With that one problem now "solved" (hopefully permanently), I decided to do a video testing it out on my callus, as it was the easiest way to test all the speeds. Not knowing anything about different drill bits or their materials that they are made out of, I had to do some research. I don't have acrylic nails, so I needed something that I could use on my natural nails. Sapphire bits are the way to go! They are completely safe to use on the natural nail. All of the bits in this set are sapphire grade. It comes with five bits. There is a cover that is interchangeable between the bits, but it might make the drill sound kind of strange. I know the strange noise is due to the dust cover, I tested it without. It's really useful that this is cordless. The battery is good for 2 hours. You can recharge it with the usb type C cable that comes with it. It's kind a nice weight to it when holding it. It's not so heavy or imbalanced that I feel like I can't control it while in use. I honestly love the set and can't wait to start testing out different techniques on my nails. It will pay for itself in less than one salon visit by the time you factor in the tip!
