My immediate impression of the product was that it was shipped wrapped in plastic - which it was supposedly from a plastic free company. So that was mildly disappointing. Upon removing the plastic and taking the blanket out of the reusable cloth tote bag, it felt very soft and comfortable. I immediately washed it, and did not have an issue with excess lint. There was about the amount that I would expect on a new blanket. I opened the dryer about halfway through and cleared the lint trap just in case. I also washed and dried on medium heat. So far, the blanket seems to be good quality and I have not noticed any defects. I use a weighted blanket in between my sheets and comforter, so I won't be able to attest to the warmth, but it is a lightweight blanket. I also though this would come with matching pillow cases, but it does not. I will update my review if my opinion changes, but as of now I would recommend this product as long as you're looking for a lightweight blanket and don't mind it not having matching pillow cases. UPDATE: after using this blanket for a few months a several washes, I still like it. The one thing I would add is it DOES SHIRNK. I have a full size bed and ordered a queen size comforter, and I think it is down to about full size now. I always wash and dry on warm, and the instructions say to use cool, so that is partially self inflicted. It seems like they don't pre-shrink their cotton. Still does not change my recommendation to buy, but also consider going up a size.
