I have owned nearly every kindle since the 2nd Generation. This one is the best update since the Kindle Keyboard. The lightness, and added screen size along with usb c and wireless charging are huge updates and more than justify the added cost. Add to that it is without ads and you have a recipe for the best e-reader available. My main reader was the Kindle Oasis, but with the added usb c, wireless charging and better battery life this is better than that and less expensive. Reading on a Kindle is a joy and I personally prefer it to physical books. I look forward to future versions of this device, but am super happy with this version in the meantime. The only added feature that I ask for on the next version is physical page turn buttons. The touch screen works, but I still like that feature a lot and miss it on this device.
