My in-depth review of Rabbit TV
Seeing a lot of reviews on here but most don't really go in-depth, so I decided to do a more comprehensive review here.
Rabbit TV is basically a guide to watching TV and movies online - basically they've organized video content from around the web so it's easier to find shows and movies. They don't provide any exclusive access to content. Most major network shows (ABC, NBC, History, MTV) are not available LIVE as they air, but instead are available on an on-demand basis.
Pros: Rabbit TV is actually convenient, at least for TV shows. You just search for a show and in most cases they bring you to full episodes of that show. Their show "library" seems very deep, which is definitely one of the best features of Rabbit TV. They do have a large selection of movies as well, with some drawbacks which I'll get into in the cons section. They do update the site every day with new episodes and movies, so there is always something new to watch. They also post daily live streaming events from around the world every day (mostly free), so you can watch a lot of stuff that you wouldn't even necessarily get on cable. The price really seals the deal here - for $10 you really can't beat this. It might not stand up to some of the more expensive boxes you can get for your TV, but for a fraction of the price this thing is a great way to stay entertained without breaking the bank.
Cons: The movies section is not currently searchable, so you have to browse dozens of pages to find a movie. I bought my device at Walmart, but having seen the commercial since then I agree with some people that the advertising is a bit misleading. I was not expecting much for $10 myself but that's just me. Another big issue is the lack of high quality live channels. I don't expect ABC or NBC but a bigger selection would be nice.
Final Word: This product is worth the $10 purely based on the fact that they bring all of these entertainment sources to one place. If you're already pretty good at finding TV shows and movies online, you won't need this device, but for someone who wants a little help or added convenience when it comes to watching programs online, this is definitely worth it. It's got a lot of room for improvement, but it's already evolved a lot in the month I've had it, so I'm sure they'll be improving as time goes on.
