I confess to harboring a model train nut kid inside a seasoned citizen body, but have no space to accommodate the craving. Trainz Driver goes a long way toward scratching the model train itch. The graphics are not photo-realistic, but much better than I expected for the low price the developers are asking for it. The trains are very realistic, audio and video, but the backgrounds are not fully developed. When I get into the various tutorial stages the lack of background detail is pretty much forgotten. I can feel the power of these locomotives and the heavy responsibility of avoiding mistakes while driving them. It's easy to project myself into the scenes and become part of the dynamic laid out by the designers. I forget the "outside" world for the few minutes enjoyed with this awesome interactive model. If you like trains, I strongly recommend you give this a try.
