* Do Not pay attention to one-star reviews about rusting!!! Cuisinart clearly stated they are to be hand washed. You cannot use a dishwasher with high carbon steel because they will indeed rust. Hand wash. That said... These really are great knives. I did my homework and I like the higher carbon stainless steel. They are beautiful, very comfortable in the hand and SHARP! Way sharp! The sharpest knives I've had in a long time. I've already cut myself 4 times. Minor cuts... just getting used to them. They need to be hand-washed... carefully... The block is black and goes with my black appliances. But that was not the deal-breaker, it was the quality of the knives, I'm so impressed! You will not be disappointed in these beautiful knives! Highly recommend!
