We love our Nespresso! It makes espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Very easy to make. I used to be a barista at a local specialty coffee shop and nothing beats freshly roasted, freshly ground beans in a real espresso machine, but all that is expensive and takes a lottt of upkeep. So if the real thing is a 10, I'd give this machine a 8/10. We did not receive a 10 off coupon in our box for some reason, which was disappointing. Pods: Nespresso pods are good, but Peet's pods are the best. If you're drinking just espresso shots, I recommend Peet's, which can be found at Target. If you will be making flavored lattes, you could get away with Trader Joe's pods. I prefer the lungos pods (just use them to make espresso and add your syrup flavor and foamed milk). Once you add syrup (I recommend Torani syrup, sold at a discount at Ross/TJ Maxx), you can distinctly taste or appreciate the espresso. Just FYI for others on pod price points: Nespresso: usually 70¢ a pod up but up to $2.00 per pod Peet's: 79¢ a pod (7.99 for a box of 10) Trader Joes: 39¢ a pod (3.99 for a box of 10) Target: 49¢ a pod (4.99 for a box of 10, but taste terrible) LaVazza: 60¢ a pod ($6 for box of 10 on sale, but taste terrible).
