My Mom always had a cat. But, now she's had dementia for 3 years. She lives in a Memory Care Assisted Living Center. We gave her this kitty for Christmas. She LOVES it. She named the cat Mittens. The cat simulates breathing and quiet purring. It takes 1 D cell battery that lasts about 3 months. It comes with the battery. It is in a cat bed and comes with a brush for Mom to groom her kitty. It also comes in an adorable cardboard adoption box, complete with an adoption certificate. Mom claims the kitty runs around her room all night long (um, no) and so, then sleeps all day long. It's adorable, and Mom is happy. That's all that matters.
