I'm a huge fan of this water bottle. I took advantage of the 15%-off deal for the 32 oz. + 18 oz. set and have subsequently become an evangelist of the Word of Embrava to friends and family. After owning, testing, and researching plastic, glass, and stainless steel bottles over the years, I have finally found everything I wanted in a water bottle, just the way I wanted it. • Perfect size—this may not be unique to the brand, but finding this size with all the other features I wanted IS. It's just large enough I only have to fill this 3 times to meet my daily hydration needs. Any smaller and I've lost count by noon; any bigger and it won't fit in any size cupholder. • Fast flow—as one other reviewer said, "No more sucking on weird plastic nipples!" Important when you're trying to sip gracefully in front of 26 snickering college kids. Drinking, pouring, filling and cleaning are all easy and straightforward. • No facial assault—the lid has a bump on the hinge that catches and holds it open while you drink. I worry that this might wear down after a lot of use, but 1) the quality is such that I doubt it, and 2) I'd happily buy a replacement anyway. • One-handed operation—this is SO KEY for me. Even locked, it's easy to flip down the locking catch, push the button which releases the lid with enough pressure that it automatically catches on the hinge-lock (I often guide it with my finger because it really pops out there). One finger to close & latch, then thumb the lock back into position. AMAZING. • Secure lid—there are nifty little rubber stoppers on the inside of the flip cap that seal the drinking & air openings, and the outside of the lid fits securely (although not airtight) against the surface. It's ridiculous how klutzy and distracted I get when I'm working, and those seals has saved more than one electronic gadget from drowning. • Beautiful design—like an Italian leather motorcycle jacket, this little star is elegant, sporty and a bit tough. The exterior is durable, BPA-free uninsulated plastic in a soft, frosted matte grey. The graphics feature clean white sans-serif type ("Fortune favors the brave" and "Embrava") and the ram logo. I'm a designer, so yeah—looks matter (I'm a little shallow that way). • Extra secure lanyard—I can attest to this because the first thing I did was try to remove it on both bottles. It's doable, but it takes some commitment, patience and dexterity. No need for an arm workout that day. The one and only tiny, whiny complaint I have was that I had to learn to sip a little differently (to be fair, many new water bottles have required some adaptation on my part). My first attempt to drink straight on got me a poke in the chin from the latch and a close call with the lid, which I hadn't pushed far enough open. I've since formed the habit of turning the bottle a few degrees clockwise so my chin doesn't touch the latch and I can see clearly over the top of the bottle; I can totally live with that. Embrava water bottle, don't change a thing—you're perfect just the way you are. (Except maybe to market different colors with different inspirational quotes? You heard it here first!)
