With this garlic press, all you have to do is peel the garlic cloves and drop them in, squeeze the handles, and voila! The result is a fine paste, perfect for stir frying and sautéing or whatever cooking method you're using. Occasionally a piece of clove will extrude up around the outside of the press, especially if you put multiple cloves in. I just open the press and push the wayward bits back in. The only drawback I can think of with this gadget is that sometimes to clean it I have to use a toothpick to remove all the bits from inside the press. But that's unavoidable, and a minor inconvenience. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
