I love the printer but DO NOT USE THE INSTANT INK PROGRAM. IT IS A TOTAL FRAUD. I purchased an HP Office Jet Pro 8740. I thought the instant ink program might be a good idea and the program came with a FREE 3-month trial. I was told if I did not like the program I could cancel it. What I was not told is that if I canceled the program, HP would effectively disable my printer if I used the instant ink cartridges. I was sent WAY more ink than I needed -- like 3x as much. Also I was getting charged for going over what HP thought was the right number of pages. I turned off the program because I have more ink than I need for a while. Today, I tried to print and my system told me I could not unless I signed up for the program. So, I now have all of these cartridges I can't use. That is very environmental of HP don't you think? What should I do with these useless cartridges? And, thank you for disabling my printer via the web because of this totally controlling and terrible program. I was in the middle of work. I really appreciated that. Do not use this program. It is a scam and a way for HP to get into your business. They charge you for printing, send you cartridges and then disable your printer if you cancel the program. I paid for the cartridges and because I cancelled the program, HP renders them useless. This is the most disgusting program I have come across in a while.
