I'll make this short and sweet as I just received my copy and am now halfway through the book. Excellent. Extremely clear - eyed in the writing. This paints a thorough portrait of the distressing environment that was the major contributing factor to how someone like Donald Trump came to be. Exactly what I hoped it would be - given Mary Trump's background - and more. She has a wonderful and very fair style of writing - with occasional moments of humor / good laughs that will catch you off guard and were appropriate. No digs going on here. For such a complicated and fraught subject matter - Trump has managed to untangle the monumental dysfunction of her family in a decent manner. No small feat in any family - let alone the Trumps. The result being a clarity that is truly helpful in attempting to process the horrific mess in our country that has been created at the hands of her uncle. Sincere kudos to Mary Trump for having the courage to put this out there.
