I bought one of these in August 2018 because I found out that OtterBox Defenders no longer come with a built in screen protector. I also chose this case because of the kickstand where only the brand Supcase makes a similar rugged model but they only have black or purple in the kickstand model. This case worked great even after having dropped it a few times where the bottom corners of the front piece cracked. My phone was okay & everything stayed intact. But over two & a half years later the kickstand finally fell apart like everyone else's. Mine probably lasted longer than anyone else's has since I see that's the main downside of this case & I doubt anyone else got two & a half years out of it like I did. So I ordered a new one & the case is exactly the same except they've changed the kickstand somewhat. To keep it from opening so easy they added a small piece of plastic on each side of the bottom portion of the kickstand to hold it in place. The problem is it makes it harder to open than the old one which to me makes it feel like it's probably going to break quicker because of the extra force being put on it to get it to open. That hinge that holds the two pieces together is the weakest link & that's where the force is being applied with your fingernail when you open it. So it's just a recipe for disaster adding those little pieces of plastic that you have to force open harder than before. Then when you go to close it you have to snap it into place on each side to make those two plastic pieces sit flush inside the rest of the case. It looks like they tried to make it stay closed better but in the process they probably weakened the entire kickstand because of how much harder it is to get open & closed now. They should have just made a better kickstand & called it a day. If this one breaks I'm just going to go with a case without a kickstand because it seems to be the weakest link in all of these cases. In that case I'll probably go with the Supcase model without the kickstand since they have better colors. I don't know why all these kickstands in all these different brand's cases are all so poorly made. Otherwise these cases fit your phone better than any of those older brands like OtterBox Defenders we all used to buy that always got loose & sloppy over time. And these cost half as much. These fit like a glove until the day you decide to take it off where you really have to work at it to get it off the phone. Youmaker- You really need to rethink your kickstands. Seriously. EDIT: March 19th 2021, less than 1 year later, this kickstand decided to break. Didn't even get a year out of this one just like I thought would happen because of the way they started making them recently. The first one lasted two and a half years but this one didn't even last a year. The case is in much better shape than the old one since it's only been a year but because of the way they've changed how the kickstand closes the extra force exerted on it early on has now made it break twice as fast.
