It Keeps You Dry.
Honestly, I think the rainfly should automatically come with the tent. That being said, I have to say that If you have this Type of Coleman instant tent, you should think about investing in the rainfly. Now I have to admit, I have never tried the tent in the rain without the fly. However, with the fly it is going to keep you dry. We have used the tent quite a bit before using it in the rain. We got caught up however in a big storm. Thunder, lightning, big gusts of wind, and a lot of rain. In the morning we inspected the damage. There was none. There was only a very small puddle on the floor. We actually chalked that up to not being on level ground as exactly where the puddle was there was an indentation in the ground. It probably collected water. Everything else in the tent was completely dry.
It fits quite nicely over top of the polls in the tent. This gives you a bit of space between the roof and the fly. Good for ventilation. Again if you have the Colman instant Tent 14 x 10 I recommend investing in the rainfly. If you found this review helpful, please click the "yes" button below.
