I saw the reviews about bedbugs after ordering, I was freaking out. Upon arrival, I took the headboard to the backyard and inspected it for any sign of bedbug or bedbug eggs. None were found. I even went as far as cutting the back bit open to check the inside crevices for eggs (bedbugs usually lay eggs in tight corners) and I saw none there either. I also saw another review about bugs being in the tufted buttons, I checked a few of those and still no sign. This item is made of new material and mine had a shipment date from China on the back panel, dated 06/20/2019. Delivered and set up on 09/23/19. Update: it is now 10/04/19. Still no sign of bedbugs. I’ve been inspecting the frame, my bed and mattress every night and morning as well as my back and arms (usually where bedbugs would bite) and I haven’t found anything. I will post another update within a month. 10/31/2019 - No bedbugs 11/08/2019 - still no bedbugs At this point the bedbugs were an issue before that person bought this headboard and they nested there because that’s what bedbugs do. 08/12/2020 - still no bedbugs. 06/28/2021 - still no bedbugs. 03/27/2022 - still no bedbugs
