Bought the grey one from third party vendor, Casa.com. Amazon only had black at the time. The vendor is located in NJ, and I received my package in two days. Fantastic shipping speed. The Vornado MVH is everything that people say it is -- it warms up the room differently than an oil radiator or ceramic type heater. It is much more gentle and comfortable, but at the same time, it takes longer -- although not as long as a radiator. I have used both oil and ceramic type heaters before. With those, you'll feel a lot of heat when you are close to the heater, but the heat drops off very quickly as you move away. You are either too hot or too cold -- more so with ceramic than oil. With the Vornado, you'll feel very little heat even when standing next to it. In fact, some may say that the heater is blowing cold air. Believe it. This is how it supposes to work. It circulates a lot more air through its heating element than the other types of heaters. That's why you don't feel the heat. At the same time, the room temperature rises gradually and stays there. You don't feel the drastic temperature variation when moving around within the room. I use this heater in my home office, which is a small room of roughly 15'x15'. We haven't had a really cold day this fall yet, but I have got a chance to use it once. For my room size, I use the 750w (lowest) setting and keep the thermostat half way (12 o'clock). It reaches a comfortable temperature in 15 minutes, with the door closed. If the door is not closed, this cannot be achieved. The fan noise is not too bad -- no worse than any fan of comparable size, and definitely quieter than my ceramic heater. Can't speak to the longevity of the product yet, as this is my first season owning this product.
