I had a huge over-supply so I ended up freezing over 2000 oz. I used several different bags - I will only comment on the ones I used 150+ bags which were: Medela bag, NUK bags, and Lansinoh. NUK bags were by far my favorite. Medela: Least Favorite. SOO expensive. I was freezing so much, I was almost paying the same amount for by breastpump bags as I would be paying for formula. 1 out of every 6 leak. Not bad, I still got most of the milk, but they do leak. Take longer to defrost and defrost unevenly, due to the fact that they freeze standing up. The top half defost quickly, the bottom thick part is slow. Kind of tricky to pour out of, due to holes for pumping right into the bag. And it might be that these bags were what I used first, so the frozen milk is the oldest but my LO prefers the taste of the other frozen milk. Also take up the most storage room, due to the standing up aspect. Only have one zipper for sealing. Difficult to get the air out for better freezing. Only hold 5oz, which is really more like 4oz. Lansinoh: These are more reasonably priced, have two zipper seal, holds 6oz, and freeze lying down. All things I really liked however I had problems with leaking. I rarely filled these all the way up and still have problems with leaking. I would say a 1/8 leak at least. NUK: By far my favorite. These bags worked great for me. I loved that they hold 6oz. My LO is a eater, so I had to defrost multiple Medela bags for one bottle. These we are one and done. Love the two zipper seal. Super easy to get the air out for better freezing. IMPORTANT KEY: Freeze lying flat. Helps prevent leaking. Also makes for super easy, equal, and quick defrosting. In cold water, normally takes 3- 5 min. Great for storage b/c they can be stacked. 1/15 leaked. Does not stand straight up quite as good as the Medela for pouring, but is good enough and once you figure it out its quite easy! With my next LO I will only use NUK. Highly recommend!
