Raw unadulterated honey... Pure gold!
Unfortunately, it's hard for small local beekeepers to keep up with the raw/unfiltered demand in my area of NC. I've been using local raw unfiltered honey for a few years now and I just can't settle for store-bought honey anymore. My wife and I use raw honey every day for green tea, coffee, smoothies, salads, and cooking. We ran out and we were desperate for a solution.
I love honey. I love to support local markets, especially family-owned and operated companies. I love Amazon. Enter... Desert Creek Honey!
I really researched DCH and even reached out to them via email before I decided to purchase. It almost seemed too good to be true, but they're legit. If you haven't heard their story, you should look into them. They definitely love what they do and it shows.
Now the honey... (keep in mind that taste is subjective but I want to try to give you an idea of what to expect). First off, If you've had raw honey before, there are no surprises. The flavor is rich, but not overly sweet. Honestly, it's just great raw unadulterated honey. You can tell this is genuine US honey that hasn't been mixed with other varieties/regions.
I'm still amazed that I can find honey of this quality, from a small family-owned and operated farm, ON AMAZON. I've tried so many other brands of "raw honey" from bigger companies and they're clearly not pure. They can set all the regulations they want about hive location, harvest methods, and bottling processes, but when you mix honey from different locations, it muddies the flavor and the end product doesn't feel or taste genuine.
DCH, if you read this, PLEEEEASE never lose the attention to detail and the passion for what you do. Those qualities are evident in your product. Thank you for your dedication to family, quality, giving back, paying it forward, and the American dream.
