I am a gadget guy. I love new gadgets and I buy many infomercial type new kitchen tools. Most often, I find the tools do not live up to my expectations. This wine cork remover works great. I used the foil remover. Then I centered the needle, pushed down in as far as it would go. I pumped once, and could hear the air and feel the cork move a little. A few more pumps ... maybe 4, and the cork was sliding out, then a little pop and the cork is out. the little plastic disk made removing the cork easy. I've been using a rabbit corkscrew for years. This pump tool is smaller to carry to parties, works well, and has a great novelty factor.
