Finally -- I think I found it! Wait-- see update
I've been on a rampage to find some product that would keep me and my thinning eyebrows out of the microblading chair. I've probably bought 15 different "solutions." (Thanks Amazon for access to solutions from all over the world and prices that let me indulge in a serious hunt for something, anything, that works.) I've tried regular eyebrow pencils that give good control and shaping but rub off. (There's nothing like stopping in the restroom at work to find out that one of your eyebrows has disappeared sometime during the day. :) Then I tried the tattoo stuff that peals off--it's very difficult to work with and looks smudgy. Brush-on brow fillers fill the part that doesn't need it and completely fail in the thin areas. The felt tip pens were ok but they go on so light that you have to go over and over your brow to get any color to stick, and even then ends up looking more like a shadow than an eyebrow.
There there is Music Flower. When I first tried it, it was awful because the color (brown #2) was too dark for my light skin and hair. But I really liked the control that the divided tip provides so I kept working with it and learned to use a very light touch. Voila! Best of both worlds. I can get very thin strokes that let me control the shape without having to go over and over the area. And it stays put.
Note -- this pen does not actually do what the picture in the ad seemed to indicate, i.e. replicate strokes like you see with microblading -- at least not for me. What it does do is give you control. I use it flat to fill in sparse areas, and turn it sideways to shape the areas where there is little hair. It works SO MUCH BETTER than the other felt tip pens I've tried because you can use a very light touch (you almost have to or you'll get very dark brows) and still get a reasonable amount of color deposited. I'm really pleased.
Note to seller -- a lighter brown/blond would sell well. :)
Update Oct 2018. Sigh. I'm giving up on this product because it is very inconsistent. I tried the lighter shade and it was too light, so I went back to Brown #2 only to find that it was now "Auburn." (I'd say "Redheads, buy this, except I really don't know what they would end up with.) And one of the three that I bought together went dry in a week. I only changed my rating from 5 to 4 because it is still better than most others I've tried, but I think I'm going to go for a real microblade eyebrow. Yes, that's how desperate I am.
