Honestly, at first, I couldn’t believe I was spending $40usd on a litter box. It has however, proven itself to be the best cat based purchase I’ve made since the cat itself…. and some days even the cat is questionable… The Ultimate Stainless Steel Cat XL Litter Box from iPrimio is just that…. A huge stainless steel baking pan your cats can do their business in. That was my first impression of it after unboxing it. It reminded me of the cooking/serving pan I would see in the galley while I was enlisted in the fleet. I pulled it out and immediately chuckled at how much fried rice or chicken adobo could be fit into it. Truth is, I was thrilled I made the purchase mere days into it. My cats have the uncanny need to do their business immediately after I finish cleaning or refill their box. When I made the box swap… they hesitated just long enough to look at it… look at me… look back at the box and the climbed in. It was an immediate hit with the boys. So its defiantly large enough to be a multi-cat box and clean up has never been easier. The stainless does its job. Nothing sticks, everything slips right off and into the trash. With a quick rinse and wipe, there is no trace of residue, little or odor! Within the first two days, the little box odor we were suffering from the old box was completely gone from the apartment. Ok so my one and only dislike about the box is that the sides aren’t quite tall enough. One of my cats is a “vigorous scratcher” when he covers his business. Litter is all over the place around the box and unfortunately litter tracking has increased. My original box had the wall extender that directed the cats onto the catch mat. Now those walls aren’t there, they just hop over. Due to the size of the box, I haven’t been able to find a wall extender for it. I’d love to see an official topper add-on to extend the height if the walls. If you are suffering with an old, scored, scratched up plastic litter box that you can’t easily clean or is permanently grey when it’s a black box, consider getting a stainless steel box. After seeing the immediate changes and results after getting this box, it made me feel as if I had been doing it wrong this whole time.
