I ordered this to take to Pitchfork Festival last weekend and although it was bulkier than I expected and took up half my (small) backpack, I was so glad I brought it with me. It started storming torrentially the second day and while I watched thousands of people frantically scrambling for cover or flimsy plastic ponchos that tore in the wind, I just popped this on and was comfortable until the storm blew over. It was breathable and I didn't feel overheated or sweaty despite 85+ degree weather, and it dried quickly when the storm ended. I am 5'4" and it came a few inches below my knees, which was awesome for standing, and also fully covered me when I sat crosslegged. The sleeves came an inch or two above my wrists. There was a snap on one side to make a sleeve, but not on the other, which was a mildly annoying defect but didn't really make that much of a difference. Also, I did end up getting some rain through the neck area, because I didn't tie the hood tightly enough. This was INSANELY torrential downpour though, and I don't think this would be an issue in a more average storm. I'll be keeping this in my car and taking it on any future trips, just in case! Also: as for the smell some reviewers are complaining about...it smelled pretty awful when I first opened it, so I lay it across a chair for a few hours and then the smell went away completely.
