I purchased my original Bionic Hose through QVC a year or so ago and I bought another a couple of weeks ago here on Amazon. I really like this hose. I have not had any problems with it. It does not kink nor has it sprung any leaks. I am currently using them to supply water to my house -- I have a water leak in my home that I can not afford to fix right now. These hoses are under constant pressure because I leave the water continually. I have never had a problem with the guards on the hose, the ones that keep the hose from breaking where the connector is attached.nor leaks. These are sturdy viable hoses. If you read the instruction and factor in that they are metal encased plastic you will know that you do not want to ever leave them in the direct sun as the metal will heat and melt the inside plastic hose -- that is only common sense! I highly recommend this metal hose brand based on them holding up to constant pressure of household water. (when you are desperate you are desperate! LOL) I have been using the first hose for several months in this manner -- would say it has definitely passed the strength and viability test under the circumstances I am using it.
