I've bought two of these in past year. I love the 18 well over the larger welled palettes because the plastic plate insert is clear (and it is opaque on the others) allowing for a palette key to be inserted underneath and remain visible during use. The paint can mold as a result of the air tight seal so I'd recommend allowing it to air dry every so often to prevent this. Also, if transporting wet or very high quality paints like M. Graham (which never really seems to dry hard because of the honey binder) you'll want to keep palette flat as the paint will leak from the wells if left on their side for long - each individual well is not "air tight" in other words, even though the palette is. The colored surface scratches really easily as well, if you are easily bothered by this. Overall a nice travel palette I will continue to use regularly despite a few minor issues.
