When compared to other pads these TENA pads are huge. They extend far to the front and back, which should be better for when you are sleeping. Walking around and sitting any leaks flow straight down. Laying in bed gravity will still pull fluids down, but that may not be where other pads have their absorbent material. I'll put up photos shortly that will give you an idea of how these relate to other pads. I can tell you though that these are thinner, and for me thinner is more comfortable. I thought the size would be an issue --that they might clump up-- but that's not the case. They are definitely more comfy to wear.
