After splitting the fan header on a motherboard with this cable and attaching the fans, immediately upon startup the entire cable turned glowing red and went up into flames spewing smoke everywhere. I immediately turned off the system. The cord left a burnt mark on my GPU backplate, but other then that no real damage seemingly occurred. The PC works fine, for now. The other cable that came in the package worked fine, although I don't trust it now so I removed it as well. Issues happen - I doubt this is an issue with all cables obviously or there'd be much worse reviews. Just informing people with my experience and the fact that QA issues DO happen. I will not be buying again. Will be promptly returned.
