Husqvarna this chainsaw is not, but you get what you pay for. Not wanting to spend ridiculous amounts of dough for an overpriced brand, I thought this item might be a good value inspite of some of the negative ratings I read. This Remington Outlaw was advertised as more than capable with larger jobs. It is not. After using the chainsaw for a couple days on live and semi-dry oak, I can see many of the negative postings being accurate. It is a pain to start cold, and adjusting the chain oil line dispenser is a pain, but those things should be better after I break it in some more. The biggest problems are a severe lack of torque at full throttle, and dying on me for no good reason when hot. After about half of a day working on a fallen oak, she no longer had the torque necessary to keep the chain moving with any small amount of pressure put on the cut, no matter how much I sharpened the blades. I even went out and bought a better chain to see if that would help, but the chainsaw continued to perform unsatisfactorily on any trunk larger than six inches. On top of that, it tends to overheat and just die on me. A lot. I seriously considered sending it back, but it may be useful for small brush type stuff in the future, despite it looking like a saw large enough to handle much more. After some buyer's remorse, I would NOT recommend buying this product. Save your money, buy a more proven, trustworthy brand.
Update: I returned it.
