Not country living, made for the city. Zero traction on gravel (packed not loose) and mediocre in grass. If we had asphalt roads, concrete driveways and long concrete sidewalks this would be fabulous. We're going to "modify" it because it's not worth the hassle of returning it. The tires are made of plastic which is the only flaw, in my opinion anyway. They slip with no grip. We certainly were not expecting it to do the job of an actual machine but we also weren't expecting to push it free every five minutes. I just wanted to drink a drink on the porch and watch my baby play farmer. Instead I ended up needing two drinks just to stay hydrated from all "mommy towing."
