First time this was used, pan heated on low, ( less than 2 on my electric range, I never heat fry pans past 2 unless using cast iron) the bottom warped as to make the pan unusable. Very poor quality control. My 20 year old All Clad 10 inch pan has never had this problem. I dragged out the trusty Brown and Sharpe micrometers and measured the thickness of both pans, the older pan is .103", and the new one is .072", quite a difference. Don't know if this one was just a stinker, or more likely the result of corporate cost cutting. Whatever the reason, it was returned for a refund. I did not feel like playing the game of sending me two or three more to find a good one, just to have it warp later on, which according to All Clad's warranty statement they do not cover warping. This is very disappointing as I wanted to reduce the level of use my old 12 inch cast iron pan gets, it's just too heavy loaded with food for these aging wrists to lift ( older pan with no helper handle), and I really wanted my monies to go to an American company that supported American jobs. Guess I will find a way to use the cast iron, or buy a new one with the helper handle.
