I purchased two of these blankets. I opened both and following directions set up the blankets. I set it to level 5 and placed a timer on for 10 minutes. After doing a few easy chores, when the timer went off I went to check on the blankets. I did not feel any heat from either whatsoever. I set the timer again to 30 minutes, when the timer was complete I went back in to check. Still nothing. This time I set it to "H" for High and set the timer to 15 hoping that I would get more heat. Maybe you just needed to set it higher? This time I felt a little heat (barely, but it gave me some hope) and so decided to give it another 15 minutes. Perhaps it just takes awhile to heat up? No. I came back after another 15 minutes and it was still not warm. This was 30 minutes on HIGH. (It should not take this long to heat up a blanket. My body could heat up a blanket faster than this contraption) It was more lukewarm than anything, which is completely unacceptable as I paid $100 for both blankets. My in laws have a 20 year old electric blanket that heats up well at setting 4. This blanket was very disappointing. I was looking forward to cozying it up in a warm bed. Will be returning it ASAP. I would avoid buying this blanket. Please let me know if this review helped.
