3 Starts: Was really excited for these shears as they had fantastic reviews. I have had a lot of time to use them in the field yet. They have worked as well as my old shears except they seem to be sticky while opening. My old pair opened and closed smoothly. Not sure if this is just my pair or the coating they put on it that adds a little more bulk/friction. I anticipate it'll loosen up significantly after more use. I've noticed the coating starting to rub off already on the blade. I'll update after more use in the field. Update: Feb 5, 2018 The edges seem to have dulled rapidly and they don’t seem to be cutting well anymore. While they started out feeling sticky opening and closing I now feel like they are much to loose and they tend to fall open. I switched back to my old pair.
