OK quality but huge! XL is good for someone with a 48-50" waist...!
I normally wear XL shorts. However, these are what I consider to be 2XL or 3XL. Measured across the waistband with no tension they are 43". The elastic does not go tighter and the draw cord is not very helpful if you have to rely upon that. Fully stretched, these should fit someone with a 50-52" waist. If you normally wear 38" waist, buy the Large and they will still be loose and baggy, but acceptable.
