Not Happy! Frustrating!
Purchased and received both the indoor and outdoor units in a timely fashion.
Equipment looks great!
Installation, lousy!
Manual is very vague and also explained that it was vague.
Took me two days to figure out where the wire harness was located on the indoor unit.
The color coded wire that was provided, didn't match the existing wires in both the indoor and outdoor units.
There was no indication that the indoor unit had to be evacuated. I had to search the internet to find out what kind of gas was pressurized in the indoor unit before attempting to connect refrigerant lines.
The split air conditioner does not come with the 115V plug adapter nor does the manual explain if the system should be plugged in or hardwired to the power source.
Also, during connection of the refrigerant lines, you need to have a vacuum pump with manifold to evacuate the air from the lines and then add more refrigerant afterwards.
Also there are no tools to open or close the compressor valves.
The manual does explain that you need a licensed electrician and a HV/AC technician to complete the full installation,
But, if that were the case, why say that this equipment is an easy install, and that anyone can do it?
This equipment is NOT plug and play!
And special knowledge and equipment is required for the full installation.
My overall rating is very low because there is a lot of information about the DELLA Split Air Conditioner that was not included or covered in the advertising of and in the installation manual nor was any hint of how complex the installation process would be until after you receive the equipment and read the manual.
Only there, will you find in black and white,
Oh, by the way, "you need licensed technicians to do the install!"
Very sneaky and misleading!
I am not happy!
It has been over a week since I received the DELLA Split Air Conditioner and it is still not installed correctly because of missing information, Parts, and due to the fact that the equipment is not versatile enough to install anywhere.
It was only designed to be installed on an "Exterior" wall within eight to nine feet between indoor and outdoor units.
Meaning that you can not move it more than two feet away to, like say, the middle of a room that is more than fourteen feet away with No exterior walls...
Thanks for letting me know that I had to purchase Several More Parts and Special Tools before attempting to install the DELLA Split Air Conditioner.

Almost one year has passed.
The indoor unit leaks or drips onto my couch and is ruining the wall. Be sure to properly install the Drain line from the interior unit to a collection barrel or into a floor drain or else you will have major water damage from condensated drainage on an "Interior" wall arrangement! (Hence the exterior wall arrangement, drainage just goes outside).
The system had to have an additional 25 feet of copper refrigerant line added to reach an interior wall.
Thus reducing the efficiency of the preloaded R410A refrigerant. Must leak check and refill system to operating standards plus 25 feet.
Outdoor unit sounds loud and growels. More wraping tape was required for the extra length of tubing.
Specialized electrical box was required near the outdoor unit for maintenance purposes.
Once wrapped the refrigerant lines required an enclosure shroud for the full length of exterior plumbing (needed for efficiency over 25 feet).
If you plan on purchasing one of these Split Air Conditioner systems, be advised it can only work correctly on an Exterior Wall (ie; interior unit on wall and exterior unit immediately behind that wall on the outside.
It may be worth the extra money for the 220 service power over using the 110.
Remember that the units come Precharged with enough refrigerant to span from one side of a wall 15-18 feet outside of same wall where outside unit is set.
Once copper tubing is uncoiled, be very gentle so as not to "kink" or put a crease in the line that would make cause for a potential leak.
Update 7/25/2021
After purchasing Air Conditioner Regulators, hoses, vacuum pump, scale and 410A gas, I went ahead and did checks and services to my AC lines for leaks. Pressure checks and system recharge to compensate for the added 18 feet of AC copper tubing (remember, my inside unit is not along an exterior wall). Charging and weighing of gas was easy. System working really good now. And I am more educated in the AC field than before because i consulted a professional with my work and explained the steps i went through to get this equipment to operate well, Im all good and on point. Staying cool this summer!
