The photo on the ad for this product looks really pretty, but it’s deceptive. It makes it look like there’s a light on the base that projects into a glass orb. Globe was glazed with some sort of rough surface … to simulate planet surfaces I guess? Turning the light on even to the brightest setting — doesn’t result in anything remotely resembling the image on the ad. And I’d give you photographic evidence, but Amazon demands permission to access every photo in my library to do so, and that’s an invasion of privacy I am not willing to agree to.
