★★☆☆☆
Lasted only 3 weeks
Less than three weeks of usage and it quit working. Worked fine until now. All it does now is move air without dehumidifying it. The water bucket is totally dry. Went through the trouble-shooting steps to no avail. Now I have to go through the process of getting it repaired.
Update: 12-21-2013
After contacting Frigidaire they told me that they don't coordinate any repair on their dehumidifiers, rather, they provide a buy-back option, to reimburse the purchaser of the cost of the faulty unit. I can't believe the waste involved in this process. It's more cost effective for them I guess, but they aren't doing the landfills any favors. Understand, this broken dehumidifier will get scrapped properly--at a place that will extract the refrigerant, etc, but it just seems like such a waste to me. I wonder how many other small appliances are handled this way. Haven't been reimbursed yet either. I already got another small dehumidifier from a different manufacturer, and, comparing the two, the Frigidaire was much too noisy anyway. I would not buy that one again even if I thought it would last longer than three weeks--or three years for that matter.
Update: 1-6-2013
Frigidaire honored their warranty on the defective dehumidifier by sending me what appears to be either a credit or debit charge card of the full amount spent on the unit.
