[UPDATE: Returning three weeks later, I discovered a *FLOOD* of fake/solicited 5-star reviews! I must assume the developer, either in-app or externally, or both, created, concocted, solicited, or 'forced' the hundreds of 5-star reviews that appeared after the app was the Free App of the Day. So this app went from 3-stars to 1-star for developer shenanigans!] WHY does this app need internet access?? There is NOTHING in the app that requires this, unless it needs it for the "More Apps" screen where you can buy its Weather Pro software. That doesn't make sense, though, because it launches another software to reach the internet or the app store. So, again, WHY does this app need internet access? As far as the app's performance goes, there's nothing special here. The battery "usage" simply takes me to the devices built-in utilization information. On the other hand, the amount of 'time remaining' doesn't add up. When I started the app, my batter on my 10.1" Samsung Note was at 73% (already indicated in the notifications area) which would last more than a day on standby. Yet the app said I had 29 minutes left. Coming back to the app after a few minutes, the time now says 9 hours and 1 minute left at 72%. Still daft. While this app really is pretty, there's nothing here that my OS already has built-in. Furthermore, the free app ZDBox does this and a whole lot more, both regarding the battery and other essential functions. Even free, this doesn't seem worthwhile to have in my library. Out of 5 stars, it lost 2 stars for idiotic internet access permission and for wacky statistics regarding the time left. At least it's attractive.
