I have loved every book, in this series, prior to this one. The world that Ms. Milo created held a great deal of appeal. Each book, I would immediately purchase. I REALLY wanted to love Bash and anticipated Ms. Milo finishing. Now I seriously regret ever purchasing it. 1st, things I liked and the ONLY reason I gave this 2 stars: 1) Ms. Milo mentioned every character from this series' prior books. 2) Ms. Milo did take the reader into a larger part of this alien world and not just the preserve. Now, onto why I am so enraged over wasting my money on this book and why I will never just insta-purchase any further books by this author. Ms. Milo warned that this is a "slow burn". I was okay with that. She describes this as a comedy. While early on there was things to laugh about, by the time the H and h consummate their relationship, funny goes the heck out of the window! The H is so far over the top possessive and has zero trust in his wife (h) that it is sickening. Now, I am very familiar with Rakhii being possessive and even Kleptomaniacs. But, Ms. Milo tries to make schakeling a woman, with iron chain and shackle that tears into the flesh of the person that this Rakhii is supposed to hold most dear and then demand that she wear a iron chastity belt or continue to be shackled to the bed, even though he already knows that it hurts her, is just sick! What I really liked about this series was even with the Rakhii being possessive, they always cared about their beloved above all else, cherished them and would do anything to protect them and keep them happy. Hobs, Rakhii and even pirates cherished women. Now, this one is so over the top crazy, bordering on torturously, possessive and Ms. Milo is portraying this as cute and sexy!?!? Oh HECK NO! I have no desire to read stuff like this! In any way idolizing kidnapping, chaining a person to a bed causing harm, wanting to keep the woman held captive and chained or force the woman to wear a medieval torture device, just because the sex is so good? Aw heck no! Ladies, don't walk, RUN away from this book!
