Really Disappointed...in Myself
I usually read reviews pretty extensively before buying anything, especially something as important as a foodstuff that's going to go in my body or my cat's. I didn't this time. I just chose this catnip because it was Amazon's Choice. Well, it might be great. It might be mediocre. I just don't know, and I won't know because even though it's non-returnable, I'm not going to give it to my cat. I love him way, way, way too much to give him anything that isn't sealed.
I'm aware that sealing something doesn't guarantee it won't make someone, or some cat or dog, sick. But sealing is important, and at least a seal shows us that it hasn't been tampered with since it's left the factory. Perhaps, had this product been sealed, my review would have been far different, and I would have awarded it more stars.
My cat did seem interested in this catnip. He sniffed the closed jar, and he marked it as his own. I sniffed it, and it smelled like good quality catnip to me, but these days, you just never know. My cat is my little boy; he's precious to me. He means as much to me as anyone else in the world, and I think most cat and dog owners feel the same.
Please, OurPets, seal the containers. I'd be willing to pay more for the security of knowing the product hasn't been tampered with since it left the factory. I think most cat owners feel the same way.
I'm sorry about the two-star review, but selling an unsealed product is a big no-no for me. I should have read the reviews and the questions and answers before my purchase. Well, live and learn, and I did.
