★★☆☆☆
bad factory assembly, great lights
I charged these in full sun outdoors for 2 days in Florida sun. It rained both days for a few hours, as is typical, but in Florida, there's still hours of full sun. They never lit up, even once.
I figured I got defective ones, but before shipping it back, I decided to check battery. I opened the back up (4 screws in corners, very simple), and the inside of the box was FULL OF WATER.
I dumped out the water, separately charged the battery in a small battery charger, dried it all up, then put everything in a box full of silicone pellets (you save these from food products in case your electronics get wet right?). After 24 hours of sitting in silicone pellets, I put the battery back in and it lit again.
Very important:
there's a LOOSE silicone plug, so when you pull the back off, it will fall out. If you lose this, you will never keep water out, it's what seals the spot where the wires come out of the circuit board inside. So when you remove the back cover, LOOK FOR THIS PLUG and make sure you put it back in. If you don't, may as well throw the whole thing out.
They are beautiful. They work great now.
They are worth 2 stars because there is no reason a consumer should need to rebuild a purchase upon buying it unless there are directions to do so. It was wet inside because of faulty assembly. If yours stops working for whatever reason, take it apart and check to see if it's wet inside the box, and if the silicone plug came improperly fitted like mine were.
