The filter lasted only about a week and then the water began to smell really, really bad and it tasted so sour it became undrinkable. We also bought the 23 cup Dispenser at the same time and that too, went bad at the same time! In both cases the water began to smell and taste sour AFTER pouring it through both filtration systems. The little meter sticks that came with these containers showed that the filters were working but when the water passed through the filter the filter itself tainted the water. Replacement filters are expensive and if they only hold out for a week or two at a time, then these ZeroWater containers are not a viable option. That said, we are returning the products to Amazon for a full refund.
