Learned Too Late - After signal loss would not automatically reconnect and was not discoverable from ISP side. -
It took two months of unreliable internet to realize that the problem was this modem that did not detect when it had lost signal, and could not be detected by the ISP when it went into this state where all the lights indicated it was online, but it wasn't. So every time there was a internet glitch where signal was lost momentarily, the only way to get back online was to physically power it off, disconnect the cable for several seconds and then re-power the modem which would then reconnect to the isp and work great until another glitch... it didn't detect so it never attempted to reconnect.. Having the isp attempt a modem reset had no impact. My modem is on another floor, so I was getting weary. The only way I discovered the issue was absolutely the modem was disconnecting it from the cable while it was still powered on. There it set all its indicator lights indication normal online connection. So, by the time we figured all this out the return deadline had passed. That sucks and so does this modem.
